Twisted
Angels tells the story of five prostitutes working the streets
of Liverpool. As we follow Tanya, Colleen, Sarah, Kiera and
Julie we see how they survive the harsh climate of their very
real cruel and bizarre world.
On
their journey the girls meet a variety of weird and wonderful
characters, like their transvestite friend and guide LollyPop
who runs the LollyPop Lounge, a bar which the girls use as a
sanctuary from their troubled lives.
Love,
fear, drink, drugs, sex and death all play a part in the lives
of these Twisted Angels.
This
adult themed play is a mix of comedy, drama, music and dance
with dark undertones.
PLEASE
NOTE: Due to the sensitive
nature of the subject matter and the realism we have tried to
bring to the play, we have created a corporate statement to
inform potential audiences (and visitors to our website) about
how we have approached the subject of prostitution in our productions.
Please click the corporate statement for more information.

This,
our third production of Twisted Angels was performed at The
Little Theatre, Birkenhead on
13th & 14th June 2008.
As with our previous years, these performances were again sold
out and feedback from our audiences was excellent!!!

Another
point to note is that several of the cast were taking lead roles
for the first time - some of them never having acted in a major
stageplay before!!!
We
were also honoured and delighted to have Mayor Adrian Jones
and the Mayoress as our guest of honour for our last nights
performance. See the pictures below to see the Mayor with some
of our cast after the show.
We'd
like to thank everybody who was involved with Twisted Angels
- on & off stage, all the crew and everybody who worked
on the front of house each night. You all did an amazing job!!!!!!!!!!!!!
